At 10 pm October 16th, 2008, Luke Chen, a student in our Multimedia Design was injured in a car accident in Songjiang. After learning of the news the next day, the school sent two teachers from SAS to ask after him in the hospital and enquire about the details. They also extended the good-will wishes and hopes to the student. We hope he will recover soon and come back to pursue his studies. We also lay emphasis on the safety of students. Both the student and his parents were deeply touched. Here is what they said:
To the school leaders,
My son Luke Chen is a level-6 student in your school, majoring in Multimedia Design. He was involved in a car accident, causing bone fracture on October 16th. Now after two operations, he is slowly and steadily recovering in hospital. After hearing of the news, SAS immediately sent two teachers to visit him in No. 1 People’s Hospital, in Songjiang. They brought along with them flowers and fruit, making us feel very moved. They not only gave him a lot of relief, but they also warmly encouraged him to keep up with his studies. We, as parents, came to the school on October 28th to deal with the deferment procedure for him. Thanks to Colin’s great help and support, the school allowed him to continue his studies after his recovery. During this period when Luke was still in hospital, SAS called us several times to ask after him. Therefore, we want to show our greatest gratefulness to the school and all the leaders. We wish them good health and greta progress in their work.

On 14th of November, 2008, Luke’s mother sent a message as following:
Many thanks for the care given by the school. Luke got through the skin graft operations and he is in good condition now. We all hope he will recover soon.
